Crunchy, Crispy Sprouts

I love the taste of Brussels sprouts & the fact that they are so great for you! Not only are Brussels Sprouts low in calories & fat, but they're also high in protein & fiber, which aids with digestion. The main mineral makeup of these fibrous veggies are Potassium & Iron, while the major vitamins at play are Folate, Vitamins A & C. Brussels Sprouts have even been linked to preventing prostate & colon cancer - pretty amazing stuff! Sprouts are such a fantastic food & scrumptious when you do them up. See for yourself!

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. Brussels sprouts

  • 1/4 cup slivered almonds

  • 2 tbsp olive oil

  • 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar

  • 1/4 squeezed lemon

  • 1 tsp paprika

  • 1 tsp chili powder

  • 1 tsp red pepper flakes

  • 1 tsp garlic powder

  • pink Himalayan salt

  • cracked pepper

  • optional: balsamic vinegar

The Process

  • Sprinkle in slivered almonds, paprika, red pepper flakes, garlic powder, chili powder, salt & pepper to taste!

  • Spread out mixture onto a baking sheet.

  • Once everything is mixed together & the oven is preheated @325, place your baking sheet in the oven & allow your sprouts to roast for 15 minutes

  • Once the 15 minutes is up, remove, let cool, & enjoy! Tip: I like to drizzle balsamic vinegar on my sprouts as well!
