Inspired by a Natural Grocers' snack box that I believe to contain some of the best hummus, I created this black bean, garlicy hummus recipe, & it's simple to boot! Check out this garlic black bean hummus recipe:
Ingredients
2-3 scallion stalks (about 1/4 cup) or about 1/4 chopped white onion
6-8 stalks chopped parsley (about 1/2 cup)
5 cloves crushed garlic
5 tbsp avocado oil
1/4 cup olive oil
1/2 cup sesame seeds
1/2 lemon or 1 whole lime - fresh squeezed
1 can garbanzo beans - I purchase Natural Grocers' Organic Garbanzo Beans (15.5 oz.)
1 can black beans - I purchase Natural Grocers' Organic Black Beans (15.5 oz.)
salt, pepper + garlic powder to taste - I probably use over a tablespoon of each

The Process
rinse beans using a colander, & then add to food processor
chop garlic, parsley & scallions then add to food processor
add olive oil, sesame seeds, seasonings & lemon juice to food processor
blend everything together using the Pulse or Chop mode on your food processor
add avocado oil as you blend your hummus
blend until fine, or however you enjoy your hummus :)
optional: top with extra olive oil, sea salt chunks, sesame seeds, parsley, & olives
